In the 1970s there was this electronically, classical, R&B, and jazz fusion music. It was best represented by artists like; Deodato, Reverberi and Solution. The musicianship, which is what this music is all about, was outstanding. They drew on; Chopin, Mozart, Gershwin, Beethoven as well as their own original artistry. They used some of the best studio musicians and orchestras available. this type of music never made it to the charts except for Deodato who had a hit with "also sprach Zarathustra."I recommend trying to find some of this older and now obscure music because it would be well worth your time to listen.
