Small Black
This is one of the first rap albums that I really listened to and enjoyed, and helped spark my interest in rap music. The lyrics on this album are very memorable, but not always very profound - "Uptown", "Now I Know." The songs are never self-promoting (unlike 95% of rap) and tell stories and convey messages. "Uncomfortable" has amazing lyrics, the most memorable ones being the ones that play at the end of the song. "Ghost" "Vendetta", and "Rat Race" have interesting notes and commentary on modern society, and are the best parts of Uncomfortable, along with the title track. The production on most songs is simple, but still AAA. "Uptown" has a great vibe, while "Make me a Believer" and "Hear my Heart" have crazy-good, original music. Every song on this album stands out, but I don't like "Desperados" or "Now I know" nearly as much as their peers, as both the music and lyrics are less on-point. All in all, Uncomfortable is a great rap album with great production and on-point, relevant lyrics.
